[1857] My sister Neola relayed the story of the treatment that Uncle Jum or Virgil gave to his daughter Marie. "It was a cold day in Murray, Iowa and Margaret which is sister of Marie was acting up and Marie wanted to take her for a walk but their dad Jum said no. Jum went somewhere and while he was gone Marie took her sister on a walk and when Jum returned and found out that she in fact had taken her sister for a walk, Jum made her sit in the cold car a punishment.

Another story was that Bev's middle name came from a former ministers son whos name was Joe Caswell.
