Kathy Rae Eddy

Obituary for Kathy Rae Mitchell
Kathy R. Mitchell, (Eddy) 58, of Fort Collins, CO. wife of Jeff Mitchell, passed away Sunday Jan. 25, 2015, peacefully in her sleep at home. She had been dealing with health issues over the past few years

She was born Jan. 4, 1957 in Denver, CO. She was raised and went to school in Fort Lupton, CO. She and Jeff had been married for 25 years and were blessed with four wonderful children with whom she devoted her life to. In HS she received “Best winning Smile” in her senior year and she still had that smile. She had the most generous, loving heart and touched many lives with her presence, always putting others before herself and had that same generous heart towards animals, often taking in stray animals.

Kathy had been in the medical field for over 40 years and enjoyed taking care and helping others. A great deal of that time went towards the care of her oldest son, Chadd, whom is a survivor of brain and spine cancer. She loved being a homemaker, taking care of her children, and spending time with her family. One of her greatest pleasures was reading. She also loved being outside, whether working in her garden, playing with her kids or the family pets.

She is preceded in death by her father, Roger Eddy, her Mother, Patricia Penfold, and a Twin Sister, Karrie Eddy with whom she missed terribly.

She is survived by her Husband, Jeff, and four children, Chadd, Nick, Addam, and Katlyn all of Fort Collins, CO. A brother, Brian (Connie) Eddy of Manchester, NH. Sisters Lynn Stolz of Loveland, CO. and Lori (Jeff) Roe of Sheridan, WY. and numerous nephews and nieces.
